I got 2 bolt rifles a mod 70 ot6 and a custom mauser 8mm

Up until 2018 it was just the mod 70 which i got in 94.

Kinda like the pair of them
Intertwined in the design in alot of ways.
The mauser is almost a full pound less in weight and accurate as heck.
The mod 70 aint seen the woodline in 3yrs.

Both bolt rifles now have a very similar trigger feel now.
Happy about that.
All 4 of my hunting long guns have sightron sII 3-9x42 duplex reticle scopes on em.
Basically the same sight picture for the eyes and brain every time.
Happy about that also.

Simple stuff for consistency in my way of thinking.

You will like a lot.

It makes one a better shot when the trigger is a good one.

Stuff you had ta say on the other thread got me thinking again.
Appreciate your input.
Dropped the hammer this morning on it starting with the call to Timney.

It is a really nice trigger.
For 83 ish bucks.
Rifle was very accurate with the 2 stage.
I really the firm feel of this being ready to go with a crisp squeeze.

They put a 2020 brochure in the package.
They still make one for the 788 with incorporated safety
So it will be a little more expensive.

Then that would make me start taking that 308 back to the woods.

I was going 6.5 for now

Until you rig up that wheelchair thing for me where I bite the squeeze tube and the trigger goes off, ya know in 300 win mag.

That 6.5 is Gtg for sure.

For awhile I was looking hard at 788,s in pawnshops.
Most of em were abused bore wise or been bubbified beyond reasonable repair.
SMH.....
And the nice ones I ran across were ..243,s and 22 250,s IIRC
.308 is what I was looking for
