... is having a favorite stove top burner; but no one talks about it.

I wish we still had a refrigerator with one door. This french door crap takes two hands to operate.

Same here. Slick, black glass top, the slightest nudge moves the pot/skillet off center of a burner, have to move the pot/skillet to tell for certain if a pot or skillet is centered on it when the electric burner coil is not glowing (temperature setting automatically adjusts itself by turning electric current off and on). The upside is it's super easy to clean.

My favorite stove top burner......is which ever one my wife is using. I cook out on grill year around, she does her cooking inside.

Hmm, ours is a big gas deal, lots of cast iron. I don't have a favorite. They all work well.

The importance of ice. Kids playing sports take all the damn ice for water bottles, then I have none for the cocktails in the evening. I'm buying a commercial ice maker for the shop.

Wife does the cooking inside with the exception of making cube steak. I handle the smoker and grill outside. She says I make to big of a mess in the kitchen. Fair enough for me !

The upside is it's super easy to clean. After 10 years, it's not slick and black. The centers of the burners have burned out to gray or white and there are scratches all over it.

Gas range is the only way to go. Electric burners have no heart.

Gas here. Bosch center burner runs 20k BTU.
Will boil a pot of water.... quickly. Loud when on full blast! Haha!
A cast iron skillet on that burner will make a perfect black and blue steak out of the sous vide. Quite the tool!
