Got the news today that Daughter #1, her hubby and I all got our 3rd Rifle cow tags for Colorado. Now we hope to buy leftover 4th Rifle cow tags when they go on sale. Iplan to hunt both seasons this fall, a first. Another SIL hope to buy leftovers as well. Hope that works out.

Nice be a great grocery shopping trip. I always make sure I kill a elk here, the rest is pepperoni/sausage fodder...
Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

Why such late notice? Did you get in the 2nd chance draw?

Why such late notice? Did you get in the 2nd chance draw? Yes. First draw we tried for a RFW (Ranching For Wildlife) hunt that had leftovers last year. Put in and lost out as a group. This draw was as individuals. I plan to hunt both seasons, something I was going to do last year for the first time. Family member took sick, though, and I headed home after a couple days.

I will be hunting ML elk, then archery elk with a crossbow in September. I also drew, in the 2nd draw, a doe deer and doe antelope tag for early December in the same unit and will pick up a "C" elk tag as there is small herd of elk there and is open thru January .Some thing ought to fall over.

Best of luck to you.
We head out in October for doe antelope around Lusk, WY. Two tags each for SIL and myself, one for Daughter #1. We like the meat better than elk but are hoping to finish filling the freezers with elk.

I'll have 2 cow tags in my pocket for fall, they go with the general elk tag I have. Hoping for 2 elk but one will suffice, spouse has 2 tags as well.
Good luck on that doe hunt.

We totally bombed out in the draw, bolos on elk, deer, and antelope. We got cow tags in a Nov hunt. How good it will be is 95% dependent on when it snows. The last 2 years the snow came too late and the elk hadn't moved yet.

Buddy and myself also drew 3rd season cow tags for CO. My second elk trip and first time to Colorado. Took the old 06 to the range last week to reach out a little. Getting a headache staring at these maps though lol. Good luck to ya'll. Going to be an adventure whether an elk is killed or not

Drew deer tag for GMU 13, 12, etc. Bull elk license is OTC and lots of cow tags leftover. I may end up not going due to unforeseen complications popping up. Time on my elk hunting clock is about to sound the buzzer anyway.
