Let me see if I am asking this correctly. One the variables in Quickload is barrel length. My Tikka CTR has a 24" barrel but when I seat a Hornady 140 ELDM to the lands there is 22.25" of barrel travel. So is the correct variable for barrel length 24" or 22.25"?

While the length of bullet travel will vary with the length of the cartridge & bullet, the length of the cartridge & bullet is not a factor in determining barrel length. Barrel length is still 24"
Barrel length on any given gun is not variable....unless you should apply a hacksaw to the barrel grin

Barrel length is breech face to muzzle. QuickLoad will calculate the bullet travel from that.
