Hey fellas any slinging the new 30cal 205EH?
How tolerant is it to throating/seating compared to the Hybrid targets?
Its OAL is shorter than the vaunted 215 Hybrid, so in a 300WSM maybe worthwhile?
Thoughts?

It is a hybrid so it should be easy to find an accurate load. They mention that the jacket is a bit thinner so it will be more frangible than the usual hunting Berger.
If it were my 300 WSM I would stick with the 215. Heck even the 230 works well in the 300 WSM. My friend had me help him with a load for his 22" Browning A bolt with a 2.8" mag box. Got 2720 fps with the 230s and RL-17. He double lunged a cow elk at 300 yds and she folded within seconds. Bullet exited with a 1 1/2" diameter exit hole.
From Berger's site:
30 Caliber 205 Grain Elite Hunter
The 30 Caliber 205 Grain Elite Hunter is purpose-built for hunters seeking a mid-to-heavy bullet solution for their 30 Nosler, 300 Win Mag, 300 Ultra Mags, 300 PRC, and other 30 caliber long-range hunting platforms. Elite Hunters utilize Berger’s industry-leading hybrid ogive design, which blends tangent and secant designs to optimize efficiency, reduce wind-drift, and minimize sensitivity to seating depth. Their sleek profile features an ultra-high ballistic coefficient (BC) and increased sectional density, delivering the highest energy retention upon impact. Elite Hunters are easy to load and shoot, and provide unmatched accuracy and performance. Our Elite Hunter bullets also incorporate a slightly thinner J4 Precision hunting jacket, which allows the projectile to penetrate 2″ to 3″ before rapidly expanding. Upon expansion, the projectile sheds most of its weight producing extreme hydrostatic shock and a massive wound cavity in the vital area. Berger Elite Hunter bullets dump their energy where it is most effective, inside the animal. Animals drop quickly, with most immediately going into shock after such trauma. An ethical kill is our #1 performance goal and is demanded by our customers.
Checking the stability of the bullet: with a 1 in 10 twist velocity 2875 fps 2000 ft it is highly stable

Thanks AZ, my build constraint is BDL format with a max COAL 2.995.
Using the 215 looks ideal on paper, but crowds into powder column.
The 205 is a smooch shorter, same with 200gr Hybrid and 200.20x.
The bearing surface is sufficient enough so may go with the "thicker" target jacket a-la 215.

I shoot the 215 hybrid all the time in my 300 wsm. Its on a stiller predator and has a wyatts single stack 284 mag. I'm seated out to around 2.95 coal and it shoots great. I've taken 3 muledeer bucks, 1 pronghorn, and a bull elk with that load. It works very well.
