Bought a bottle of Tito's the other day which was mildly unimpressive as vodka should be a neutral spirit. Almost but not quite.

Whatcha expect from commercial swill though ?

Tangeuray has been my summer drink of choice for most of my life but the thought another sip of gin just gags me for some reason (shrug) ??????

I'm not a big Tito's fan myself. I'd put it in the freezer, buy some Fever Tree tonic water and a few limes and go that route. Rather good in the summertime.

Moscow Mules are a favourite, Vodka Cranberry (cape codder) is great too when its hot !

The grocery stores around me sell a brand called Simply Lemonade. It comes straight or mixed with either strawberry, raspberry or my favorite, blueberry. I cut the lemonade with club soda about 50/50 and squeeze in a lime wedge for garnish.

I believe Bristoe is the HCF wodka expert?

The tonic and lime would’ve my preferred route too. Enjoyed a G&T on the deck the other day when taking a break from the heat.

SEA Breeze cocktail: Vodka, Cranberry juice, and Grapefruit juice..very refreshing.

You'd have a hard time finding something worse than Tito's.

Gimlets and Tom Collins are perennial favorites. Recipes everywhere. Vodka or gin in either one is fine.

My Gimlet is 1 oz Lime juice, 1/2 oz simple syrup, and 1.5 oz gin. (You can get a bottle of simple syrup in most supermarkets or booze stores in the mixer section. If you use a sweetened prepared lime juice like Rose's, omit the syrup. Fresh is always better, though.)

Tito’s is mass produced swill with great marketing.

I’m a fan of simply lime and a splash of lime seltzer watah with either vodka or tequila.

Don't drink much any more but I was always partial to Greyhounds. Salty Dog minus the salt.

But truthfully, the only proper summer time drink is a paloma. Or two. Or three. Ditch the Commie tater juice and go south of the border.

I'm not a vodka drinker except for the occasional bloody mary. My wife likes vodka and lemonade or vodka and cranberry juice with a splash of Rose's lime.

This will work. I like gin so any of these would be good with vodka. Of course tonic, cranberry. cran-raspberry, cran-pomegranate, ruby red grapefruit (available under the Simply brand). Instead of club soda you can use those flavored seltzer or sparkling waters (La Croix brand is popular out west)

Yes Breeze for me when it gets hot..

I agree with make whatever you do with tanqueray and substitute vodka.

When it's 100 degrees, any of those will work. I've found I cannot drink scotch when it's much over 65 degrees and can't drink bourbon when its over 85.

my go-to vodka drink is vodka and Squirt with ice and a lime.
