Have a friend that flew an Air Tractor for years in Florida. Those guys can really log the hours. Makes my 1500 hours look like kindergarten...

They had two planes on one field, June Tayler would be proud.

I crop dusted a frail old lady in the Food Lion recently.

Those guys have got some balls. They do most of the spraying here with helicopters. Saw one spraying my neighbors corn last week, he was pretty darn good at it too, as the fields were up against power lines and trees.

They are spraying our soybeans just now, quite a show. I hunted with a guy who flew out of Garwood, Texas. All they talked about were crashing and near misses. To risky for me. Hasbeen

When you are done, reload the plane with some CS and send it over to Portland, or the Aurora City Center tonight.

I just watched one outside of Concordia, KS today. It's crazy how close they get to the utility wire when they make a pass!

I knew two spray pilots--they both died while spraying . I don't think either made it to 45 yrs old. I also have a friend who flagged for another spray pilot. He got soaked with spray every day and he is still kicking at 80! I guess it wasn't agent orange.

I'm glad some one is willing to do that job.

I am sure some of you Viet Nam veterans have seen the C-123 Ranch Hands spraying Agent Orange on the jungles below. I am thankful that every time I saw them doing that I was flying in a C-130 above!

I'm glad some one is willing to do that job. Most of the ones I've seen are great pilots that are as safe as they can be... given the conditions. But, like I said earlier, they get LOTS of hours flying. I think the law of averages catches up with them.

I filled in driving tender truck for Aerial Blades out of Flandreau SD. Flew a Bell 47 series. G5 or something like that. Summer of 95. We were in your neighborhood Richard. Stayed in Storm Lake and flew out of a Co op in some little town nearby.
If you love someone set them free If they come back no one else liked them Set them free again

Some jackwagon took a shot at one of the cropdusters around here a few years back. Sprayer finished the job, climbed in his truck and drove over to the guys house. Rumor has it that there wasnt any introduction. He grabbed him as soon as the door came open, threw him off the porch, and the beating commenced. I figure the guy needed that beatin, but the sprayer was lucky the guy didnt open the door with a shotgun.
