Gold is approaching $2,000 an ounce. This will be an all-time high. If you would like to play pick a date and state publicly that you will mail $20 to the winner of the poll.
In the event of a tie the one that picks the closest time of the day will be the winner.
Anyone is welcome to participate but if you do not State publicly that you are in for $20 you have not made a commitment to win anything other than bragging rights.
I will start.

My 'guess' is that it'll go well past $2K and then settle back. Still the best hedge.

My guess when this was first posted was by the end of the month. I say now it will be tomorrow morning about 10am Eastern. We'll see. Silver is up past 26. It could always be speculators trying to drive up and cash out quick, or it could be a mad rush out of toilet paper.

They will give you a price over the phone if you hound them a bit. Most want you to go in, but that was before Covid.

Being optimistic. Fair enough. But let's say from here on out no bets closer than 4 days. Would not really be very fair for somebody to swoop in 10 minutes before.

It's been a coiled spring for years at well over a 100 to 1 ratio. Once that springs loose, we're likely looking at (for at least a short time) a 10 to 1 ratio or better. Think of a beach ball held under water, then released. It doesn't just reach the surface and stop.
