I called yesterday morning as soon as they opened.. It was long gone. By the time a high demand gun hits the GI website it's been sold days or weeks prior. The Gun Library ain't what it used to be either, My local one is closed and they put selected used guns out on the rack mixed in with the new stuff. Last week I looked at a half dozen lever guns I could see and none were listed on the website. They had a couple Savage 99s and some poorly refinished overpriced Winchesters, I brought home one of the 99s.

Good to know for future ads on GI. Must create a lot of false hope for people. I lucked out and got my M70 lh in a private sale.

I have alerts sent to me via e-mail when certain models hit their website. I've been horned up several times only to find it's long gone, especially if it's a Cabelas firearm. This isn't so much the case when the seller only advertises on GI though.

About laid a brick when I saw the price. However, by time I saw it, I figured it was already gone. Someone got a steal...

I can see bigger companies like Cabelas using some sort of automated posting system on GI as opposed to a private seller. The M70s lh sure seem to go quick. I saw a Safari Express in 375 H&H last week that must have went for a pretty penny. The seller was asking for a pretty penny anyway!
