Thought we needed another thread to hopefully become a sticky. I got lucky as the first load I tried worked perfectly. This is a factory duplication load but could be too hot for rifles with out the Weatherby SAAMI chamber and free bore.
72 grains Norma MRP 100 grain TTSX Norma Brass Fed. 215 Match Primer
I have Norma, Weatherby and Nosler Brass that all appear to be from Norma, but I don't think this is true anymore as Nosler is outsourced and I am not sure who produces the Weatherby now.
Has anyone tried 7977 or 8133?

Not suggesting a load, but IMR 7828 seems to perform very well in everything from 240's to 300 Weatherby's.

I loaded 69gr IMR 7828 with a 120gr Partition for 3385fps for a friends Vanguard in 257 Weatherby. Shot very well, under 1" My 24” Vanguard likes that charge for 3,350fps with the 115 Partition and Hornady brass. 7828 also gave 3,600 with 100gr bullets but that rifle didn’t like the E-Tip or the Swift SII in that weight.
Now with even more aplomb

RL-25 with 115 Berger works well. Used Nosler load data for their 115 BT.

My Vanguard Accugard really, really likes 75.5 grains of H1000, Weatherby/Norma cases, Federal 215M Primer and 110 grain Hornady ELDX.

Long time re-loader, brand new to the 257 WBY. Appreciate the thread, Dean.

I've posted this info before, but my tried and true .257 Wby. load for my Wby MkV is: 72.0 gr. of RL22, Barnes 100 gr. TTSX, Wby/Norma brass, and CCI 250 primers, for a MV of 3700 fps. Very accurate.
