Any good way to clean them up ? Does it matter?

Bar Keepers Friend. Mix powder in jar with water and agitate. Removes moly from bullets quickly and since it removes rust from stainless doubtful tarnish will stand up to it.

I've tumbled them in a vibrator with walnut media, but I don't think it really matters.

Never dull pads from the Auto store if you don't have a tumbler. They help keep the bullets or brass from tarnishing again for awhile.

I just shoot them.

I've got a bunch of .30 caliber roundnoses I use in my .3030. They were purchased from another reloader about 40 years ago, and have tarnished a bit. I'm guessing they are 1960s vintage. I just load them and shoot them; they seem to work just fine.

This. I don't keep ammo around to admire it.

They get polished just fine going quickly down the bore and I have yet to have a target complain about tarnished bullets😄.... just shoot them unless pretty bullets are important to you.

If you are talking brown patina, I'd leave it alone. It does no harm at all, and actually is slightly protective.

If you are talking green tarnish, I'd give them a quick bath in lemon juice, rinse in hot water and dry, but more importantly I'd have a good hard look at your storage conditions.

Swirl them in some water with lemishine.

I’ve tumbles some old Remington bronze points for fun with steel pins. Looked like new

I use the tarnished ones when playing with loads at the range to use them up. The only tarnished ones I get are all from Nosler. Tarnished straight out of a new unopened box.

Were they just as explosive polished as unpolished? MB

I never shot any of them. They were given to me. I gave them away too.

I have found that they shoot nice but you better keep them in the ribs on the in and out or a lot of blood shot meat. MB

It only matters if it bothers you.

Only bronze point I ever put in a deer, 40 years ago, penciled through. Got the deer, but no expansion. Was using them in a .300 Savage, don't think I had enough velocity for them to open up. Used the rest for targets.

Magnum Bob, discovered my old reloading supply at the farmhouse where I grew up. Forgot I had that little stockpile. Bullets I had purchased as a high school kid in the 70s that my mom stashed in a closet when I left home.
