I've never heard this before today. "Rabbit rabbit rabbit" is a superstition found in Britain and North America wherein a person says or repeats the words "rabbit", "rabbits" and/or "white rabbits" aloud upon waking on the first day of a month, to ensure good luck for the rest of it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_rabbit_rabbit

Never heard of it, and if rabbits are so lucky they wouldn't keep getting shot.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

Not because I knew of this, but I was pointing out rabbits to the dogs.

The luck probably refers to their penchant for making replacement rabbits.

I don't have any superstitions, including religion. But it doesn't surprise me that folks will cling to that kind of insanity.

This is the first I've heard of it. That must explain my lack of luck.

I never heard of it either, but if rabbits are lucky, I’m set! I always have quite a few through the summer, but this year I bet there’s a dozen or more. After I finish cutting the grass, I sit on the deck and watch them chase each other and play. Kinda comical. Looks like I got a bunny ranch! 7mm

Never heard of it. However, when sitting around a campfire and smoke drifts in your face, saying "white rabbit" thred times is supposed to cause the smoke to drift elsewhere. Surprisingly, this doesn't always work .

Or "dying". As in "the rabbit died".

Surprisingly, this doesn't always work . A young lady drove us all nuts doing that at a rendezvous once. If she had not been in possession of a jug of very good home made Irish cream we would have thrown her out of camp!

My mom instilled that in we kids. I just texted Rabbit Rabbit to family members.
I don’t believe in the superstitious part. It’s just an old family tradition and a memory of mom.

So only their feet are lucky? Or only the fourth foot?

the rabbit sometimes represents "fear" of the future or what if (losing control of)-- and the repetition brings the chanter back to the present
