For what its worth, I did not listen to my doctor and started shootng and doing push ups agin too soon after surgery, and now I am paying for it. Appreciate the info. I am taking note of these first hand experiences. There seems to be a trend developing...

My latest problem is "trigger finger" (flexural tendonitis), at least it is the wrong finger. My md got a hoot out of me with this one. What did people do 100 years ago when they worked with their hands and plastic surgeons didn't exist (or did they)?

I'm guessing most died by age 50.:):) Oh well, better to go out,completely worn out than to hold back and never accomplish anything...

Had that procedure done back in 99. One at the time tho. Dr told me unless I had a woman that was willin to wipe my stinkin A** for about 3 to 4 weeks..dont do "em both at the same time. Had 1 done early march the other in early april. Went back offshore and resumed regular roughneckin duty on the drilling rig i worked on in mid june. Havent had a single problem. Went thru 6 weeks of PT on each hand after the surgery. Only lasting effects I have noticed is a small loss of strength in my wrists.

Just got home from a few days in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. Got to spend time in the sand with my 2 grandkids. Hands feel much better after using them a bit. Gotta unpack and get the sand out of my shoes...Miss anything???

Glad your Doing Well. Looks Like I'll Be Headed down the same Road. Had Mine tested last week. Been haveing Alot of Problems Giping things. My Right tested 5.6 and a 5.4 On the left. Was told anything over a 4.0 needs fixed. Doctors alway worrie me, Figure they don't call it a pratice for nothing.
