My standard combination of Lee Collet dies, Redding Body Dies, and Forster benchrest seating dies produce very consistent loads without turning necks.

However, the combination cannot straighten out virgin brass. Are the Type S FL dies the way to go to prep virgin brass?
Again, I am not turning necks. Lapua and Norma brass mainly.

What are you guys using in your comp rifles?

I run a mandrel to straighten any dings out.

Alpha doesn’t even need that cuz the sweet box they show up in.

Shouldn’t need to size new brass at all.

Screw you! I'm voting for Trump again!

I really like my Forsters, but I wouldn't go that far.

Is this a neck turning or no neck turning scenario.

No turning means not sizing virgin brass unless it has a ding in the neck, I do chamfer it though.

NECK TURNING
Here I expand the virgin brass neck so it fits the manderal, then I trim the neck, then I size it with a Redding S ...

With no-neck turning if your necks are coming out Crocked you should check your expander on the dies..
