I got an email yesterday from Nightforce saying that they have been listing to optics users and will have an "Announcement" tomorrow Wednesday August 5th. Any leaks or advanced information?

NX8 SFP would be my guess.

I do. 3-10 illum. It's a pig but a fairly compact pig and, except for the hernia, I like it.

I thank that's on my next to buy list. They seem stout but compact'ish from what I can tell. That's the Forceplex, center illum, right?

It's pretty good. The area and size of the area it lights up are good. I think the brightness is a little to bright on the lowest setting...but I like illumination barely visible in low light.

I'm interested to see what they're doing. Sounds like it's NX8 and hunting.

Lot's of things I'd like, specifically hunting related.

The NX8 1-8 would be a pretty neat little hunter if they put a 32 to 42 mm objective on it, extended the reticle to the edges at lowest settings, added dimmer low settings, and made it 1/4/.1 adjustments. Taking the scope a different route than it was originally designed for but it would be good for my use.

The more I use them, the more I like FFP when shooting....but so many of the FFP reticles suck for hunting after you leave an 800 yard open field and move to the woods on lower powers in low light or thick backgrounds. Maybe they're introducing a bolder outer bar'd FFP hunting reticle in all their lines? Something like Tanget Theta's LRH Mrad.

I'm wishing for a lot...... I'm guessing they're going to be SFP on the larger NX8's.

Lots there doug - Looks like the 2.5-20x50 and 4-32x50 SFP are the new options?

I hate to say it or complain, but everyone knows I bash FFP, scopes generally. but if a scope goes clear up to 20x on the high end, even I have to say its probably best if its indeed FFP. I think I would like a 2-16, better.

There must be a market for the 50 mm objective and larger that I just don’t understand. The SHV with the 56 is a good example. I wish them well but a 50 mm at 28 ounces isn’t for me.
