A guy I used to hunt with flew his family up to the Wyoming/Utah area for a vacation a few days ago. They rented a minivan for touring around because they have three or four young kids. A couple of days ago they were tooling down the road and a deer ran out in front of them, and he was not able to avoid creaming it. One less deer for you guys this fall.
I'm not entirely sure where that happened, but they had to wait a day or so for the rental agency to bring them another vehicle. No big deal, they were in a small town where they were treated as guests because they're nice folks up there. So they get another minivan, and they resume their tourist lives. Driving down 191 south of Rock Spring, not too far from the Utah border, a bear runs out in front of them and---you guessed it. He creamed the bear.
The hell of it is the guy has not been able to afford to hunt since getting married four or five years ago. All it took was a vacation, I guess.
