Am I to assume black people are being charged more for camping gear than white people?

Does being white come with a free prepaid card of some sort?

If so, I didn't get one.

The article is pure horsechit.

The best addition to a camping set is a decent cot. I spent years camping and sleeping on the ground.

I bought a lightweight, folding cot at Walmart for $35 that even included a 2" think vinyl covered mini mattress.

Throw a cheap comforter over the mattress, sleep under another one,..add one pillow and it's not tent camping. It's a budget motel.

More BS race baiting spin.

I did a lot of low budget camping when younger. It doesn't have to cost much if you want to get out there, especially on BLM or NF lands.

There's a little rodent that lives in camp sites. Someone even wrote a musical piece about it.

I can see it now......busing programs to make campgrounds more diverse. Last time I heard, it was still a free country and the purchase of camping equipment wasn't regulated by skin color. Do these idiots think there are "Jim Crow" laws in parks and campgrounds or something?

Same here, except we’ve mostly moved on to condo rentals.
I don’t recall being asked about my race when reserving one.

There are lots of ways to go camping. Just go with the right equipment for the weather! But go!!! I see people of various shades camping! Lots of mushroom pickers of color around here!!! The article is hogwash! People have stayed in the sheep dip to long!

Ive always been perplexed as to why I don’t see more blacks when I’m rock climbing. I assume that although they are natural climbers, the technical aspects of big wall ascents confuse them.

I used to camp with my uncle.. very little difference than staying at home... our log house was about the same as camping... no electric . no running water , no toilet. but we had a wood burning cook stove..
