Got a question in regards to notches on bolt carrier on Colt SP1. I have looked at several SP 1's, including my own and all of them have notches on the bolt carrier where the forward assist would engage. However, I know of no SP 1 that had a forward assist. So why notches on the bolt carrier? Did Colt just use the same bolt carriers on their civilian SP 1's as the M16 bolt carriers they were putting on rifles for the military that required a forward assist? Thanks G2

Parts gun like all ARs - I heard they sell for $.

The one I bought new in the 80's (notches) with "Colt" barrel wouldn't group - With Model one A-2 upper, thing shot lights out.
