I've got one in 270, but none of the real early 110's are that easy to find.

I have an early 110 with a date code of I (1957) in cal 30-06. My catalog is 1958 and in my 1957, there is no mention. In 1958 they do mention the .270 win.I am hoping the hand writing is legible.

LBK Nice rifle , remember when you bought it. Have you had the opertunity to hunt with it yet?
Traditionally not a ton of interest in these I think that will change rapidly. On the used rack they catch my eye. When I return to the shop will have to see what the code is on the one I just purchased memory says the SN is less than 20,000

There was a pretty nice one of those for sale 2 years ago it went cheap with a DL etched into the barrel. I missed it sadly on a trip a 25th aniverary trip. Have been looking ever since for a short action. Nice rifle.
The barrel nut has always turned me off. I think romac has a lefty that couls sit next to me and I would smile at her.

The year I bought it, 2009, it went to Anticosti and I killed a nice 8 pointer with it. The serial # on that one is 12XX. I really like it.

David, 19,9xx would be a 1959 production.
LBK, that is an early rifle (1957) as production started at 1000.
Best I can tell, 1958 production ran from around 2000 to about 16,000.

So the lefty I just picked up has a date code looks like 11K and serial number 19067
Is K 1959? Might make it close to the 58-59 cut off

I’ve got 110L’s with K date codes in 30-06, 270, 308, and 243 which is the first year of lefty production. I did have a 110L in 243 with a J date code but gave that to my brother.
