What is this worth? 629-5 classic with the factory “power port” looks to be in good shape.

Also what is your opinion on the ports effectiveness vs added muzzle blast?

Up to $900. I've never owned one with the power port. I once had a Dan Wesson that had two six inch barrels, one of them ported. I couldn't tell much difference between the barrels in either recoil or blast. I've owned that exact model, sans port. It was a good gun. I was offered one for $650 and got hung up on the $600 I offered for it. That's been a few years back though. I'd want to be in the gun at $700, but it is probably worth $900 at today's prices.

That’s what I was thinking price wise. I might be trading into this one. I still have a hard time wrapping my head around today’s prices compared to just a few years ago haha.

You ain't the only one. I should've bought the one I'm talking about. I also should've just paid the guy who wanted $1100 for a blued Python with Pachmayers that I passed on right before they doubled in price.

I had a custom 629 2 5/8" with red insert front sight and magna ported. The red insert disappeared the first time I shot it. Replaced the front sight, and it disappeared again. The muzzle blast was vaporizing the insert.
