3 years, waited on another maker for 16mos and then got let down, turned down by others.... Dan Crotts came through and I can't wait to get my hands on it. Plus, while he was at it had him make me a big filet knife. Elmax steel, ghost jade, blue liners, stainless hardware. Just in time for a Hatteras fishing trip with the guys in a month.

Close enough for sure. Less flex, which should be good, just what I wanted. Should make a good bait knife cutting up mullet, shrimp, squid etc.. plus cutting rigging. Nice saltwater duo. Theyll ship out Monday hopefully and have them in hand by weeks end. That filet should make a damn good boner and the lil one a good paring knife in the kitchen too. I can't imagine they won't be good all around.

Those are both really slick!! I have one of Dan's knives and its one of my favorites - could really dig a fillet like that one. About how long of a blade on that beaut?? Congrats..

Wow, those are great! If you don’t mind me asking, how long did you have to wait to place an order, and how long from ordering til now? I’d love to get one like that made as a gift.
Thanks, Craig

Thanks, Craig Wait time was 4 months tops. Once it hit, 2 weeks.

That filet is awesome. The Dozier K-23 on steroids!
