I'm sure a bunch of you have been down this road already, probably many times.
Rem 700 short action, canted one piece scope base - probably a Seekins 30 moa. Burris XTR Sig rings with the inserts. SWFA 6x mq.
Can I get away with the 1" Burris rings? Or will it take the 1.25?

The 1.0” height is what you want.

What Jordan said.
I have the 1” on a 10x MQ and a set of 0 MOA two-piece bases (Warne) that are pretty low and there’s lots of clearance.

I wish they made a set in the .8 -.9 range. I don't have an SWFA, but .825 rings are enough to clear a 50mm NXS or a 50 MK4 Leupold on a SA 700.

I bought the mediums and my 50mm XTRII w/the cap has all kinds of clearance between it and a V/S contour barrel. Good rings, I think you could tear the scope completely apart without ever hurting them, with the added bonus of adjustable inclination via the inserts, but I'll likely try Seekins next time around to get things a touch lower.
