As our school year fires back up next week, several larger districts are starting online, or with divided groups, that attend 2 days a week.

In discussing this with a couple friends living in those larger districts, a couple interesting questions came up.

What would happen if the students protested these measures? What if every student showed up every day and demanded to be taught?

Can a school district refuse to allow access to students that are protesting?

What do you folks think?

around here the parents are doing it for them while the kids sit on the couch buried in their phones. people ain't happy. no way to please everyone. the local facephuck group is full of people arguing like retards over a pop tart. funny to read but sickening as well. too many yuppies moved into the township in the past 30 years. send them back and hope for the best. glad my kids are grown.

I am currently renting out a studio apartment in a small town in SW Montana. 500’sq suitable for a single tenant, two if you really like each other’s company.
There are currently 8 families of 4 or more applying just to get their children into a district that is 5 days a week ftf.

The kids want to go back, and the parents are starting to demand they do.

Gonna be an interesting couple months coming up...

Don’t think that would’ve been me, my excuse would be if it’s so dangerous to come to school that I have to wear a mask, I’m not going!

Schools are only following the mandate of the state and county health officals. Like it or not they are bound by forces beyond their control. At least in Ks. The teacher's unions are very weak here as Ks is a "Right to Work" state. What would happen if the entire student body showed up, that's a no brainer, "shut it down and go to on-line or distance lesrning. No teacher I know wants the 'hybrid' or half day model most of 'em want the kids in class every day five days a week. But alas that is not to be. You guys give "Teachers" credit for why more power than they really have in these deals. You want the real power brokers in your district it's your friends and neighbors on the school board.

I cannot fathom my kids protesting because they weren't allowed to attend school.

Maybe folks mad cause the free daycare ( schools) aren’t starting up.

My friend up in Cut Bank is a teacher and advised it is a schitshow now trying to get kids back in school with the state mandates. Weird that not one state have a contingency plan for situations like this.

Kids protesting to demand more .gov kool-aid force feeding? Sounds like they'd fit right in with their older peers.
