I believe you’re a bit too old to be asking this question. Did you read the 'Where were you in 62' thread? I'm a friggen youngster! Anybody that claims they remember 1962 is lying. GFY! I started 1'st grade in 1962. And I remember that first day of school like it was yesterday. I had spent the summer helping to support the family by driving tractor all day six days a week for Dad while he bucked bales for all the neighborhood. And I had one old red cow to milk every night and morning. Lying, my ass. At 5 or 6 years of age you could reach the clutch and brake and drive a tractor to feed your family? I'm impressed Farm kids don't need no stinkin' clutch or brakes.  At 6 years old I was flossing my teeth with my fencing tool and a foot long piece of barbed wire !

I've never understood tipping based on the bill total. It's pretty simple math. Your phone can probably do it for you. I have expressed myself poorly. The math I can do; what I don't understand is that there should be more tip left on a $50 bill for two steaks than on a $10 bill for two hamburgers.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

local tire shop guys. 15 to fix a flat, I tip them 10, if I'm having tires changed out the same per tire plus a few beers from the cooler in the bed of the truck. I try to tip well, at least 20 percent. some of those people don't get minimum wage.
