That's Ian McCollum, "Forgotten Weapons" channel on youtube. They've taken a bunch of videos on similar themes and compiled them into 2 hour long "movies". I watched Heavy Machineguns and German Infantry Weapons last week. If you've seen his videos they aren't just "hey, watch me shoot steel plates for 20 minutes", he goes over the details of how the weapons work, field strips most of them and adds a good bit of history on each one. Interesting if you're interested in that. You can watch all of the individual ones on youtube but this is nice since it gathers similar types into one place where you can watch straight through or a bit at a time.

I will not patronize Netflix, the video below will clarify why. You all do what you want. Just to give you something to think about.

I watch a lot of messican narco series 45 minutes long sometimes 50 episodes and some from Spain. they have 20-30 of the most beautiful women that ever walked the earth in the series. just when you see one woman and say it is impossible for a woman to be better then her 5 minutes later another one appears and so on

"The Outpost" is on Netflix now, about the battle at Outpost Keating in Afghanistan.

After action report. Watched The Outpost Saturday night. It's "okay" but just okay. Like most films about some specific battle they can't spend too much time on each character so you only get a thumbnail sketch of the main players and their lives and then the events of a day long battle are compressed into the last half of the movie so you don't get a good sense of how ferocious and back and forth it really was.

However, they did give a good sense that the guys in Afghanistan have to put up with the same kinds of SNAFU's soldiers had to in Viet Nam. Some higher up in a safe place insists on making a show of something and the soldiers in the field have to pay for it, sometimes with their lives. Also how some officers are very good leaders and some are much less so.

Overall I give it 3 stars, it's definitely worth a watch even if not great cinema. The last portion while the credits roll can invoke some allergies.

As gay as the karate kid is, I do like the guy he beat and reopened the dojo. He's an awesome throwback to the 80s and zero political correctness. Knowing Netflix, they'll probably ruin it though and he'll be re-educated to be a sensitive modern man.
