Horrible story and a reminder of how things still are just across the river. This woman may not have been involved directly with the drug trade herself, just being a known associate of the wrong people could be enough. Could’ve even been random.

Most of the killings and kidnappings,are never reported by the news, She looks like a Mexican make up queen, many of them are mules, looks like she pissed of who ever she was working for. Rio7

There's just absolutely nothing you can tell someone that wants to go to Mexico about how dangerous it is, that will stop them.

In his book "Tecate Journals" about his 2009. 900 mile Kayak trek from El Paso to the mouth of the Rio Grande, a longtime Laredo College English teacher begins the book by relating what happened to one of his students, an ostensibly nice but naive American girl, who was dating a wealthy and handsome young Narco from across the Border in Nuevo Laredo. They were captured together across the river by a rival cartel. Her prolonged manner of death while her tied-up boyfriend was forced to watch was horrific, after which the boyfriend was bound face to face with her mutilated corpse and buried alive.

Nuevo Laredo is maybe 100 yards across a bridge from the US.

Mexico gives you the right to own and keep non-military caliber firearms in your house. But is highly, highly restricted by law.

A common theme emerges after about 5 minutes: don't go to Mexico.

Are Mexico's cities being burned and looted and their citizens terrorized every night like ours ? And the 2nd amendment is a watered down, largely ignored joke. Ask the people in NYC or Chicago how much right to bear arms they have. Or aren't those still part of the USA ? In fact we don't have much of right to bear arms in the whole state of NY and our unconstitutional gun laws have been allowed to stand for years,
