Getting emails from some of the places me and Wifey frequent. Maybe things will get back to normal. All the small bands have to be hurting.

Two places here in this part of Iowa that used to be really jumpin', The Cobblestone Ballroom in Storm Lake, and the Lakewood, at Lake View, both shut down for years now.

Has the bologna virus been there that long?

can't say that I've ever seen a dance hall around here. Sounds fun. Is party liquor served at them?

Schroeder Hall, next me is opening on the 3rd.

Figured only time dancing was done in Texas was when they were dodging six-gun bullets! Figured Texas was mostly Baptist!!

Many, many dance halls down here. The very best place to meet the opposite sex. Women will kill for a guy that takes them dancing.

The Quihi Gun Club dance hall is opening soon.

There was a local high school football game (Canyon Lake vs Wimberly) on TV last night and I didn't see many (if any) people wearing masks. My 12 year old grandson is on the 7th football team in Leander and was supposed play this year but the local school district Supt. (from South Africa?) keeps moving the school opening date out. I'm afraid him and most of the school board members are hard core Democrats.

A few years back I went to a bar/restaurant to see a Cajun music band play. Some middle-aged people showed up to dance. Someone said they were members of a singles dance club. One woman walks up to a fellow in a cowboy hat (this is upstate NY), boots and a big belt buckle and asks to dance. She then proceeds to grind away on this guys leg like a horny male dog and obviously enjoying herself - a lot!. After the song and "dance" ended one of my friends got up to go to the restroom. I told him to be careful as the floor, at that spot, was likely to be a bit slippery.

Haven’t been there, Wifey and I like road trips. We go dancing all over the state.

Used to work with a Baker cementer that was from that area of TX.

I’d play that music at my welding shop on the rig. He come by and say I’ve seen the live.

Neighbors invited my wife and I to the Kendalia dance hall that is ten minutes from our house five or so years ago. New Years eve with Dale Watson. We wanted to decline but felt it rude. We went and sat wondering though Dale did confirm that I do not like country music.
