When I watch this, I ask, "What could he have done to stop it from happening?"

Weapons?
Unless he was in a tank or had a motorcycle helmet on, how would he defend against this? It was the equivalent of an unexpected sucker punch.

Situational awareness?
From the short clip, I don't know if I or anyone else would sense that coming. Maybe hear his steps approaching? I could only guess.
He approached from a long way off and directly from behind.
I don't think a pro fighter would stand a better chance.

Sometimes criminals just want to bash in some poor stranger's head for no apparent reason. It's happened to me.

Let me offer a friendly warning. If you insist on continuing to victimize random white people violently, just because they are white and you are not, you are eventually going to hurt the wrong white person, and there will be a reaction that spreads across whatever State you are in, and then across whatever Nation you are in. If you aren't careful, you'll start an actual race war, not these pathetic random encounters. If you need help considering what that would look like, imagine roving groups of white people with rifles, shooting you on sight. Imagine having to escape into the woods and live wild, until you are hunted down. Imagine every black person you've ever known, hunted down and killed. We white people made a system of laws for a reason, and it was to protect ourselves against people like you. If the cops aren't going to stop you, and you aren't going to stop these violent behaviors, you will be stopped in the most direct of ways.

Don't piss us off. There are already a bunch of us who are on the fence, just waiting for an excuse to start the killing, because we have given you so much money and so many chances over the last 60 years. You could be one brick-swing away from the end of your kind. I am not kidding.

PS:. No way to know for sure, but who wants to guess that it was racially motivated?

Either need law and order or let it get to the point there is no law so we're free to shoot the rabid dogs without fear of prosecution.
