It was from June, so I assume it was up-to-date on the ones that did make it into law since they were taking affect shortly after the article was posted. Counties can do anything they want. Just like Fed laws trump state laws, state laws trump county ones. Is it good that your Sheriff is on your side? Certainly, but it would be a whole lot better if you didn't have a law hanging over you just waiting for something to happen and an anti-gun Sheriff put in his/her place. Never happen? Look at the COVID and all the weird "never happen" stuff that did happen.

Red Flag Law is the same thing. Hasn't been used much...yet. Another axe hanging over your head.

There is no way you can call the peaceful protests anything but a fail because they failed to stop the anti's. You've got an overall loss and in the gun control war, you eventually will lose the war if you keep losing battles-even by a little. You can call me names and get apoplectic all you want, but I'm just giving you my honest opinion, which happens to be backed up by the facts-however you want to twist them.

Btw, it actually IS the business of myself and everybody who is an American citizen, whether you like it or not. Y'all just took a step towards being Oregon or New York. I live in a much more conservative state than Virginia...not a brag, just a fact, but it could still happen here also. Try and shake the rage out of your head and remember when a lot of people supported you here back around the 1st of the year, including myself. Some even came out there and physically supported y'all. I hate what happened too but it did happen.

I have a number of posts going back many years on here (many more than either of you two...nothing to brag about, just a fact). I've never advocated for ANY gun control of any sort. The record of my posts will bear that out. Many on here know me, at least on here, and again, have for many years. About any of the posters who've been here awhile will attest to it. Again, I supported the peaceful protests in Virginia, I just don't think they can be considered successful, unless you define success by less of a loss rather than holding on to what we have (or had).

In fact, for quite awhile, I had a sig line saying something like, "No compromise, now or ever," along with a link to a post I made expanding on this sentiment. At some point I dropped it. I can't remember why, since I still feel exactly the same way, which is why I think it does us a disservice to represent what happened in Virginia in a positive light. Again, my explanation is in my post to jack.

My contention is the time for peaceful protests is far past. nobody cares or is listening. Certainly not the politicians pushing the gun control agenda down your throat. All that other work you did, that's what changes laws or stops laws from taking effect, NOT a peaceful protest.
