I was at a local gun store picking up a gun I had shipped to them and while I was waiting I spotted two scopes pistols. Both are Rugers with a 2x Leupold on them. I think I like them, yeah I know, get both. The first is a Super Blackhawk Hunter for $799 Next is the Redhawk for $779 I have not researched to see if the price is good or bad yet but I like them. I was surprised the Redhawk is lighter than the Super Blackhawk. I guess I am used to the Super Redhawk. I am really tempted by the Redhawk

Both are pretty sweet. I'd lean towards the RH myself-they're my favorite Ruger revolver. The prices on both would be solid on the BHH and a deal on the RH in my part of the country.

Hock what you have to... get the $$ ... buy both . You will think about it , too long and too much, if you pass on one or both. You know you deserve both hunting guns. Who else should have them ?

Get both, it's a no brainer
I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

This is an interesting conundrum, considering that these handguns can stand in for rifles at reasonably likely distances. Sell a long gun maybe?

Yep they would both be coming home with me....if I had to pick one it would be the Redhawk only because I dont yet own one in 41. My buddy who owns a shop puts any used large bore revolvers he gets in aside and texts me, as he knows ive been on a hunting revolver kick recently and he was taking at least $1k/month from me prior to the plandemic.

I would buy the redhawk.
I’ve shot a BHH 41 identical to that scope and all a good bit and it’s and accurate thing. A buddy hunts deer with it exclusively.
That said, I prefer the recoil impulse of a double action grip frame.

If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

I’d vote for the Redhawk too (that’s a good price with the scope).....both should be accurate. I have the Blackhack in that configuration and it is incredibly accurate (although in all fairness the Redhawk I have (using irons) is also very accurate- although not in the league the BH is in).

I don’t have a 41 Mag Ruger but have both of these Rugers in 45 Colt. I tend to load them safely but heavy. I prefer the way the BH handles the recoil with heavy loads. YMMV

Glad you got it. Just picked up a CMMG 10mm and the Redhawk is still there and still tempting
