Has anyone contacted the seller about the relist? Here is what most likely happened. The shill bidder, his "Buddy" ended up winning the auction and that wasn't part of the plan. "Buddy", went one bid too high. Obviously since his "Buddy" never had any intention of purchasing the gun, and was just doing his friend the seller a favor.......the seller had to relist it. Hopefully, the seller had to pay the commission on it anyway.

Did anyone here bid a realistic bid, i.e. something over 80% of the actual worth? If not what is the point?

Could be the would be buyer just realized when he sobered up that $200 was cheaper than 2962. That's also a very good possibility.

Going once!, Going Twice!, sold for $3005 plus $75.00 shipping, and it doesn't have a Savage medallion on the grip cap, add $100.00 for that. The high bidder had a "double stack" bid also, so I don't think it was the seller's brother-in-law bidding this time.

bottom line is 99's aren't made anymore. makes me wonder if i should find a Pontiac ? naw! anybody have a 708 barrel ? i could use an infusion of cash  have a series a, C in 243 .
