I have Z5s on a 300 WBY and a 7mm Rem Mag and both have tracked fine to 600, which is as far as I have used them.

Fotis,
Maybe I'm hard on them. At the range the first day I fired three shots. Then I dialed 3" left and fired three more. Made a six shot group with zero movement. I dialed 3" more and it moved 6". From then on it moved the correct amount. A week before I was gong on a sheep hunt the ballistic turret quit functioning correctly. I was able to get it zeroed at 300 yards and called it good. Upon my return I sent it in for repair. The included note informed me they replaced the erector. I was getting ready to go to Alaska and the same thing happened. When I returned I sent it in for repair. This time they charged me $30 and told me they replaced the erector. With full disclosure of its history I sold it on the 'net. The glass was about the same quality as my Leupold VX-6 4-24X52 and Bushnell 6500 4 1/2-30X50.

I just view them has expensive set and forget hunting scopes.

I can’t compare to high end Leupold as I haven’t played with them. The Z5 glass is comparable to my Bushnell LRHSi which is heavier, is 30mm and was more expensive. By the way, the tracking of the LRHSi has been stellar.

I've got one with the turret on a Forbes 270. It's a hunting rifle and I've only dialed it to 300 and back a few times busting fist sized targets. I don't expect to dial it much and I am hopeful it will operate in it's limited capacity. If I wanted to dial all the time longer distances and shoot a lot more rounds,I would trust something else more. So far,I've only brain shot 3 deer with it. It's just a nice pin point accurate set up out to 300 or so yards that is easy to carry all day. You could take longer shots, but if I really wanted to focus on shots over 300 as being the norm,I would look at a Nightforce or high end Bushnell, or possibly a 5-20 HD SWFA of some sort if budget constrained.
I did want to say that I think with one of these smaller lighter tubes scopes, mounting in good lapped rings properly and not over torqued,is much more critical than with a heavier built scope. If you put pressure on the tube, the internals won't work right, and it doesn't take as much to put pressure on the internals in the lighter scopes, and the internals aren't as robust,so won't take as much use or abuse as heavier built scopes. Everything is a trade off so just figure out what you need as to how you intend to use- treat it.
