I just gotta get out of my system cuz I'm so excited! I took my girlfriend to meet my folks, and myself and 7mmbuster did some shooting of various rifles and revolvers and showed her the ropes. She had a lot of fun and really got into it some. Oh, and she's actually doing pretty decent for a beginner, seeing as she can inflict some damage on 3 inch targets with a scoped 22 at 50 yards or so.

What am I doing about it? Putting my hard earned money to good use. I got a Savage Mark 2 with a 3-9 x 40 scope that should be in within a week or so, and a Heritage Arms Rough Rider .22 convertible with fiber optic sights and a 6 inch barrel. Oh, and for giggles, I got a Rough Rider Revolver with a 16 inch barrel and adjustable sights, just because everybody needs a buntline .22 in their collection. This is gonna be fun, folks!

About 20 years ago, hosted a potluck picnic for my team at work. Had a 2 hr schutzenfest on the front end before eating. Boss's wife was a die hard anti-gunner. Had no use for them. Didn't want one in the house. Evil things. yada. yada. Eventually got her to sit down on the ground and shoot a S&W 22 kit gun. Target was set at 7 or 10 yards. She quickly started hitting the bulls on a regular basis. After 3 or so cylinders, she admitted that she started having fun firing the revolver.
