My wife hates hot dogs I like them once in a while and she's working late so I'm going to build some dogs cool

Got everything I need including some kraut which I like sometimes but sometimes, meh,,. I thought some of the great minds of the fire could opine here...

Iā€™ll pass on the sour kraut. Canā€™t abide the stuff. Love some good hot dogs though.

Kraut and mustard...

Mayo, onion and fresh tomato...

yes. please, heated up a bit of course. Plus relish, whole grain mustard and ketchup. Half of the condiments should fall on your shirt while eating so wear an old one.

I gotta get to Costco now for a dog.

Chopped onion, kraut on hot dogs is a treat from time to time. I had some leftover brats sliced and warmed in kraut and bbq sauce for supper tonight.

Kraut turns into something really good if you stir fry it in bacon grease.

Either kraut and mustard, or ketchup and diced onions and sweet relish. I could eat myself to death on them.

Onions, mustard and relish for me or chili and onions.

Only like sour kraut on a Reuben sandwich.

No argument here. I'm pretty sure its illegal to have a Reuben without kraut or at least it ain't no Rueben if you try!

I do not eat rotten cabbage. I will make an exception for a good Reuben.

Iā€™ll eat them. I prefer pork chops cooked in sour kraut. If I remember right a restaurant in Pottstown, PA won a hotdog contest with theirs. they made fun of me when I asked for cole slaw. frown

Kraut definitely has a place on the dog, in my world. I like dogs a lot of different ways, as I like any tube meat. My go-to standard for a great dog, personally, isss - Kraut, diced onion, yellow mustard, sweet relish. Thatā€™s what Iā€™d order as a standby, in lieu of anything else, at any purveyor or street vendor that would presumably have those 4 essential toppings. Chili-cheese dogs are also close to my heart, but thatā€™s another animal altogether. I says, yes. Kraut.
