Surprised he wasn't shot by a patron first......not too smart considering the % of CCWs walking in/out of Cabela's.

This was in Canada, not the USA.

Suspect shot? Time for riots in Canada?? Do they do that stuff there? Maybe some free shoes.

No, I doubt that a single customer or employee had a handgun up there in Liberal Canada. I'm surprised the cop had a gun.

The cop got sprayed twice and was physically assaulted before he shot the perp. That's a lot of restraint.

Apparently bear spray isn’t very effective ?

If the cop was a trooper w proper hat maybe the spray would have worked LOL

In the OP, in the video, they go into some detail about the shooting. The initial responding officer was a female. She got pepper sprayed.
She got into a wrestling match with the robber. She broke free from him.

She was commanding him to lie down and he wouldn't comply. By this time there were 3 backup officers on the scene with rifles. It was the female officer who shot the guy.

Are there likely to be any repercussions on the officer for having shot the crook? (Different rules in Canada?)

All the major cities in Canada have the same problems with drug addicts, drug dealers and transients living and hanging out in this area.

Not if they followed procedure just like anywhere else. Lots of holes in this story early on as there usually is but being that she was assaulted and sprayed by pepper spray I'm sure she's on solid ground for shooting the prick.

No crime in Canada? hahahahaha.. Abbotsford has regular shootings mostly gang bangers shooting gang bangers. Last year a police officer was shot and killed by some wack job that had stole a car. There's homeless camps and a big drug problem in Abby and all the dope supply gang banger trash that goes with it.

btw.. not picking on Abbotsford ("Abby") a 45 minute drive in to the city will get you to Main and Hastings streets. I've traveled some and never seen anything worse than this place, hundreds of zombies lining the streets, over doses constantly, murders, assaults, sirens going almost steady. You couldn't make a movie much worse that the reality there.
