I once traded a Zeiss binocular for two Leupold scopes and some cash. Does this qualify?

Admittedly, the binocular was not cutting edge anymore, but still...

Also, I think 3x Leupolds should get more than 5 points!

3X leupies should get better than 5 points, but a Burris should be a bigger deduct than 2, shouldn't it?

I think the early Leupold field glasses should be a huge deduct because this should not be unreasonable affection. In other words the babe has got to be sweet or you are not a slut, but a pig?

I have sent 3 Leupolds back for repair. They puked in the line of duty or....erm...uh...from being ridden down the mountain. Okay, okay, so I am hard on them. I still buy them every chance I get. I think I should get some sluthood points for my continued patronage of said scope brand. Oh, and I sleep with them rutinely and treat them like ladies. That should be worth an extra point or two or at least participation in the secret hand shake. And one more thing, I GAVE away 3 bushnelles to the neighborhood kids. That ought to be worth and honorable mention. I only need a couple of more points....please, please, please! I wanna be a slut, I wanna be a slut! Flinch

Dude, that's akin to dealing drugs to kids, in my book

Actually, a Conquest should be extra Leupold points, as Zeiss obviously looked at Leupold's main selling points when they designed the scope, especialy long eye relief!

I own a Conquest, which is why I want the points.

If you own an equal number of Leupolds and Conquests does that mean you go both ways?

If you have any Swarovski's, Zeiss VM/V's, or Nightforce it means that you are easy, but not cheap.

Um....well....erm Muley Stalker.....their parents are already drug dealers, so can I still have the points? I told them they were broken. They just wanted them for telescopes, which they work fine for. Come on, give me some sugar. Flinch

Mule Deer, my friend, you are a true Leupold Slut, no matter what the other optics say...

But if you can talk the Shrine of Scopedom into bringing back the One, the True, the Original 3X -- you will become the Soiled Dove with the Heart of Gold, no mere street slut.

If I get extra points for my 3X, can I also count the one I insanely left on my first wife's 7x57 when we split the sheets? How many points will I get if I pull off a scheme to get it back?

Mule Deer, Reminds me of the old story about a guy who says: Slept with a hundred women and nobody called me a lover. Sucked one >>>> and for the rest of my life I was known as a C...S....er. Your either a slut or not! :-)

Muledeer,

I don't believe what I am seeing. I thought I was the only one in the world that liked the 3x. Actually My first Leupold scope was a 3x. (with a Leupold Dot) The dot was so fine you couldn't see it in the field, so I sent it back for a Hvy Dpx. That is now my mainstay for any .375 H&H I happen to own. I now own 4 of them and would buy another if I could find it.

BTW, If you can contrive to get that one back from your ex, I think you should get double points. 5 for the scope and 5 for being innovative enough to get it back.

Sadly, I only have one 3X now. It's mounted on one of my .444's. I bought a 2.5 heavy duplex for my other .444, and it's OK. But it's no match for the old 3X.

My First Leupold was a 2-7x33, and I still have the old girl. I had to send her back for a little tuneup, after 20-odd years of sliding in and out of saddle scabbards (I know she liked it) and sliding down mountainsides (not so sure she liked it all that much).

Keeping your first love yet falling in love many more times may be the true definition of sluttiness...

I'm not even close. If 50% or more of the scopes I own are Leupolds, can I at least be considered a little sleazy?

BTW, does this make Chris at SWFA a pimp? inquiring minds wanna know....

Slut? nawww........not me........I can't be.........no chance!

I only possess three at the moment. (course two of 'em are 20+ years old and have been on 5 or 6 rifles apiece).....but....I don't think I'm a slut.

Hmmmm..... of course I did just trade for one to go on a rifle that I don't even have yet.....maybe I'm still OK....??

Then there's the two newbies that I just ordered from premier today. (don't have the rifles for these yet either)....but...but...wellllll............

By next week, I'll have six Leos and only three rifles.............Uh oh!!!....my virtue may be in question after all..............

Muledeer-

Believe it or not, but Leupold HAS considered bringing back the 3x--as a new Dangerous Game Scope. D'Arcy Echols and I have been on them about it for a while now, as some BIG calibers even shake apart the low-power variables eventually, and the 2.5x Compact isn't quite long enough for some actions. (Well, it is, but then you can see the gold ring....)

The folks in Beaverton are still thinking, I suspect because they've been bringing out so many other new things (like their new binocs and binoc/rangefinder) that they're too busy to get after a scope that will probably sell, oh, 500 copies a year.

But can you imagine a matte 3x with Heavy Duplex, right off the shelf?

MD

Well guys I'm the first to admit I have a major problem, when I saw this post I honestly could not remember how many of mine sport leupies. So after rummaging through the safe and totaling up my points I am proud to say that I am a true slut, 72 points after deducts of 8 points for weak moments or just to lazy to take glass off of used guns that I purchased along the way, where do I get my card?

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time.

I think I've forgotten this before.
