Trying to find ammo is getting hard again. Where is it all going? Whose plot is it this time?
I am still well stocked on 22’s from last time but low on a couple of calibers I didn’t have during the last drought.
How is everyone doing?

I think people are plotting to have ammo in case the SHTF. I think it was something different in the Obungler administration.
I have many thousands of 22 from last year's sales. Most of it was under 20 bucks for 500+ rounds. Harder to find the 17HMR ammo I've wanted, but I finally found and bought a bunch from Midway a few months ago.

22’s I have. But I couldn’t find 30-30! The plain Jane of ammo. Nothing special. Maybe 100 years ago, but not now. Maybe production for it is on the sidelines. As soon as I figure out what weight it likes best, then pour my own. Just watched too many westerns to be stopped.

I stocked up on .22 the last couple of years, when it was plentiful and on-sale cheap, and I had shortactionsmoker find me a couple of cases of .17 Hornet this spring, so I'm set. I have scads of .223 left over from the PD shooting days, along with a like amount of .204s, and a legit crapload of .30/30 and .270s. I am currently short of .221 Fireball and .22 Hornet, but I have the components to fix that, including primers.
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Once upon a time, folks thought they needed enough ammo to protect themselves from an occasional azzhole. Now it seems they come in bunches.
What fresh Hell is this?

Probably have more than I need. Can load more. Wouldn’t waste .22RF on rioters.

Thats why you always keep way more than you "need" on hand. I see a few people selling 1,000 rounds of FMJ 9mm for $500. 6 months ago that was extortion, but people are buying it now.
