At the range today, Guy next to me has a 'Black' rifle with what I noticed to be a Holosun sight,
I've heard of a few positive reviews of this sight but never saw one before,
Asked if I could peek through it,
There was a wow factor here for me, Green reticle really stood out, crisp and clear, extremely wide field of view..
Anyone here using one, your thoughts? Durability and so forth?
Auto dimming and auto shutoff?
At distance likely not has accurate has a traditional variable power scope, but for a fun gun, could be interesting.

I've been using a HS503GU for 3yrs. I like it as do friends and grandkids. I can shoot 8" steel up to 200yds easily, 300yds with some luck. The 2moa dot is very easy to 100yds, after that I have to work at it. I haven't replaced the battery yet - the auto off and shake wakey work great.

Brother in law and a friend have them and they have been using them for about 4 years with no problems.

I'm running a Holosun HE503GU-GR (translation: side battery compartment, Green Circle Dot reticle) on my AR 300 Blackout. I ditched the factory supplied mount (a Holosun weak spot) and replaced it with a MidWest Industries Non-QD 100% Co-witness mount. I should note that the Holosun 403, 503 and 515 series red dots are compatible with any Airmpoint T1/T2 mounting base.
Even with the mount change the total price was still under $300. or less that half the price of an Aimpoint T2.
It's running 100% so far.....

Would Anyone know if that MidWest mount be comparable with a Sig Romeo 5? The mount that came with it has a tendency to come lose, only one screw to hold it.

I don’t know 100%, but it should be, as holosun makes the Romeo 5, IIRC.....was planning on trying that one on one of my Romeo 5s, as well.

How about the 510 series, same issue?
or has Holosun improved the factory mount?
Actually, Can the 510 factory issue mount be removed?
