For those with granite counter tops or for whatever reason, what sorts of free standing reloading press designs have you used?

I have a press mounted to a harbor freight bench grinder stand.
Built a 24"x24" wood square top on it.
It's quite study, yet still portable.

Throw a couple thousand 75 grain BTHPs and some lead cowboy pills on the lower shelf, you'll swear it's bolted to the floor smile
It's also quite handy to put it in a closet when kids come over, etc.

Whole setup was around $100.

I did a press mounted to a board clamped to a table for a while, however not with granite.

I put together a Harbor Freight Universal Tool stand for a project recently. It'd work for a base...

Sinclair has a portable stand that works well. U hear it can be clamped on kitchen table tops, or used on the carpet floor of the bedroom or living room whistle

JMHO-
I prefer to have a sturdy strong bench
that won't flex any at all. I want it to
where you could all but stand on the
press handle and not break anything.
I believe that gives more consistency
when resizing. And if I wanted to swage
some bullets it would need to be stout.
My bench here is screwed into wall studs

I have my Forster Coax mounted on a water jug stand that I found on big trash day. It wobbles if I press hard but otherwise works. The Coax design in my opinion is the most robust along the lines of your intentions. And they are also just good all-around.

I mounted my press on a microwave cart from my local big box home center, it has a substantial butcher block top, drawer, bottom shelf and locking casters. At the time which is a few years ago IIRC the cost was less than $100.00. It has proven to be a very satisfactory solution, roll it into place, lock the casters and you're ready to load when done roll it back into its storage location.

I also am running a Coax press. Save for if I was going to get into much longer cartridges, it is perfect.

Thanks for everyone's feedback. I'm still brainstorming...

Get an old steel dic(farm machinery ) ,and weld and 3.5 to 4inch dia pipe to it about 24 inchs long then weld a 10.5 inch square steel plate on top drill holes for your press , then bolt it up .
