This is a great movie. Kind of a "B" type. Dunno how much money went into making it. Probably the most went into salaries for Vince Vaughn as the lead and Don Johnson in a pretty small, supporting role.

Basically tells the story of this guy who does some bad things to support his family and gets put in the joint where he has to do some more bad things. Very simple, but very good.

I watched it on either Prime or Netflix. I think it was Prime. It may have been free because I've got a subscription to Starz on Prime. Sometimes these movies go away really fast, so see it now if you're gonna...assuming it's still on there. You can subscribe to Starz for free for a week if you cancel.

Anyway, I highly recommend it. Not as big budget as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, nor as flashy. The dialogue is spare. OUATIH was the best movie I'd seen for awhile and this ranks right up there with it, although it is totally different. I think Vince Vaughn has a pretty conservative outlook in real life too, if that helps.

Vince Vaughn is great in dramas. He doesn't always have to play the clown.

Very good actor.

This movie has been talked about on here before. Pretty sure it was Flave who recommended it then. Yes, it was pretty bad ass.

Don't be giving flave so much credit. I even tried to PM him about this movie and my thread and he's got his mailbox full. Don't give credit to somebody who won't clean the love letter out of his mailbox!

Dude,

do you record the noir movie on Sat night on TCM like my wife does?

My wife loves them and I get the benefit of watching with here sometimes.

Actually I believe it was brought it up in a Bone Tomahawk thread.
