Today, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (AZ-08) and Ranking Member of the House Committee on the Judiciary, Jim Jordan (R-OH-04), introduced the Holding Rioters Accountable Act of 2020 to hold the rioters responsible for destruction across our nation accountable for their actions and ensure local officials do not turn a blind eye to the chaos in our cities. We have laws in our country for a reason and if cities and states choose not to uphold them, they should not be rewarded with money from federal grants,” said Congresswoman Lesko following the introduction of the bill. “I hope this bill will incentivize cities and states to follow the law and hold rioters accountable. There is no place in our nation for this lawlessness.” The bill grants the attorney general the authority to withhold up to 10 percent of Department of Justice (DOJ) grants from cities and states where prosecutors are failing to prosecute crimes arising from riots and other violent protests. The DOJ is responsible for determining prosecutorial misconduct for the purposes of implementing this legislation. “Chaos and violence have no place in American cities,” said Ranking Member Jordan. “It’s time for Democrats to denounce violent left-wing extremism, reject efforts to defund the police, and hold anarchists and criminals accountable for their lawlessness.” https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...losi-democrats-george-soros-hit-hardest/I also read that Pelosi and House Democrats are completely on board with this and it should pass the House with an overwhelming majority, maybe even 100%. Chuck You Schumer also commented that his Democrat Senators will also vote in favor of this Bill.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

10% should be 100%.
But the sad thing is, we already have all the laws we need to put subversives away for a very long time. We simply need enforcement and prosecution.

I like the idea, but its more wrong than right (and you wonder why the Dems will support it)? As Idaho mentioned, we already have all the laws on the books to stop it and punish those who are guilty. By putting a mechanism like this in place, it makes it a tool to withhold funding if the law is not enforced the way the federal government wants it to be enforced, instead of leaving it up to the state, where it should be. Very similar to speed limits etc, they could withhold funds for not making stricter gun control, or not processing hate crimes harsh enough etc. Its another tool that can be twisted and bent to twist a states arm to act as the Federal government wants it to. They can follow this plan, just don't put the law in the books.

Good idea. They need to include states that prosecute people for defending themselves.

A good first step would be to invite Kyle Rittenhouse to the White House.

What they should do is make it a crime for prosecutors, judges, majors and police to ignore/not prosecute felonies.

The Lib states will just ignore it like they do for immigration laws.
Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.
