Drove down from Interior Alaska to the Kenai Peninsula (South Central) today. 90-95% of the leaves are gone off the diciduous trees north of the Alaska Range. Probably that many - often still green, but mostly turned - are still on the trees south of the range. Beautiful!
Just a mountain range and 300 miles difference.....
Colder up there too, nearly every night dropping below freezing at ort cabin, tho I see frost has hammered our yard veggies- even inside the greenhouse down here also. Some of that may have been the neighbor lady slacking on the watering the last 3 weeks.... but some definately frost. More snow on the mountain tops, and down lower up north too.
