AVG, although I have a paid subscription with the full security suite for my laptop and tablet, I've never had any issues with the free version.

Some things really are worth the price of admission.

Pay the money and get ESET.

AVG works well enough.

To be brutally honest, with Windows 7 even the best anti-virus isn't going to protect you much. Now that Microlimp has ceased support for it, Win7 is extremely vulnerable to attacks.

People are tired of hearing about the solution, so I'll just shut up now.

I've had both. I've got Avast right now. I don't like it. I haven't taken the time to just unload it and let Windows Defender protect it. The best evidence suggests Windows Defender is adequate protection now. That assumes the latest operating system though. I don't know if there's any difference in Windows Defender on Win10 vs. Win7 or not. Win7 is so completely obsolete that it's difficult to say what would be best. Win7 was a better OS than Win10, but so many viruses have been designed for it that you were forced into the newer system...at least I was. Long-term, some sort of Linux OS is probably the best solution.

Stay off the Liberal news sites.
