I got lucky a couple weeks ago and my lgs had a lnib one with a nice set of leupold rings, 185otd...I snatched that thing up. Can't stand the look of the Freedom line on a nice walnut/blued 22.

Thanks for your comments fellas. Were those 28mm objectives or 33?
Saw another on auction and, with 4-1/2 days left to go, it's already at nearly $250 delivered.
If I have overpriced this I will happily correct that. But think I'll wait until that auction ends, to see where it goes.

The VX-I on eBay went for ~$370 delivered. So I feel that my asking price of $300 delivered is way more than fair. Here is a link to that auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Leupold-VX-1-Rimfire-2-7x28mm-Rifle-Scope/164404572761

Ebay is way over priced on some items. The one I sold was just like yours, Leupold #58700 VX-1 Rimfire scope 2-7x28 matte black

Did you mean "Brand new in box" ? As far as eBay being overpriced, it isn't eBay that establishes the prices; it is supply and demand. The buying market sets the price. I cannot remember what I paid for it. And these are no longer made. So I used eBay closed auctions to see what they were worth and discounted it for fellow 'fire members.

Why not let the guy sell what he has for what he feels is a fair asking price. The simple fact is for the seller to know what he is selling and the buyer to know what he is buying. When those two come to an agreement as to a price they are both satisfied with, a successful transaction was made. Others making comments as to screw him out a a sale buy stating prices they have seen or heard or may have gotten don't do anything but steer others away from a potential sale for the OP. Why not be satisfied with the deal you may have gotten or even missed and let others be? I don't give a crap if some one was given something, does that mean they should give it away as well? I'll never understand some people. Bump for the OP.

Mine was new and in the box, I opened the box and handled it is all. I now see these have gone up in price and I am sure its because Leupold stopped making them and they have quit offering a 28mm objective on all scopes
