Cheatham WMA range 100yds. White oaks were dropping acorns. Might try 44A insted of 41 based on that. Dunno... Oaks are funny in various areas and from year to year. Still alot of soft summer browse around also....
Gotta make the choice and call in for a area at 8pm cst.

5, 6, and 7 hovering right around 1 inch. No adjustments for those shots . 3 power totally blots out the dot.
But thats how I hunt . On 3 power.
Would like to find a good 4 power old school lock ring occular nikon monarch Japan made.
But I'm in no hurry to do so. And it would have to be in pristine shape for me to buy one.
So it aint an issue staying on 3 power in the hardwood ridges and bottom lands I hunt. Shots are under 100 mostly and usually within 50. 150 200 yds is stretching it hunting in the places I go to.

Hope you bought a bunch of those shells, cause Remington is selling their ammo side.

Got 4 boxes of 5 and 3 loose. 23 Plenty for 3 or 4 years now that its dailed in for this lot #.
Federal trophy copper or will suffice if accutips and Rem ammo aint bought out by someone.
Shot the trophy copper last year in comparison to the accutips. They are accurate also.

That will fill a freezer.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

The 220 never got the attention it deserved. Its a rifle. Rifle trigger, rifle action, rifle accuracy. Deer hammer.

I have killed a lot of deer over the years with a 20 gauge H&R Ultra Slug gun. Winchester 260 grain platinum tips were accurate and deadly. Deer never went far. Then they discontinued that ammo line. Last deer I shot with that gun was with the Accutip and it seems to do the job well. I have been eyeballing one of those Savages.

44A for tommorow. Acorns might be dropping their after what I seen at Cheatham WMA. Last year was an off year for acorns in 44A. Alot of times it seems like a every other year bumper crop of em.
See what happens. Know where to go on the L shaped oak ridge. Same saddle I sat on last year and killed that wide heavy 8pt. The deer use that saddle on the ridge cause it is a easy sloped movement corridor for em from 1 side to the other.
Going to bed.
