Boynton can be rough sometimes. Fished out of there many a time with my dear departed fishing buddy who just passed last year. He used to have a house on the canal just down from the runoff directly across from there.

I plucked a few out of Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano that did something similar about ten years ago.

Looks to me that maybe they were newbies who got rattled by the first two big breakers, figured it would only get worse and didn’t know enough not to turn around. I think there’s probably a lot of boating stories like that.
