Land. Either in Wyoming around the Bighorn Mountains or Northern Michigan on the AuSable River depending on if I wanted to live there full time now or after my youngest is grown.

Just say you win a million dollars. The "catch", is you have to spend it all on one thing.
I'd maybe buy a farm, and use the million as far as it would go.
You? I’d find a solid 8-10 cap triple net deal.

You? For the sake of fun, let's say a "thing" is a thing, and not a subjective metric of a value which is also subjective. Imma go with land here, or better, real estate. And it would be north of Phoenix.

10,000 flats of target (#9 and #7.5 shot) shotgun ammo for trap and skeet shooting and a climate controlled building to store them in.

I am pretty well set financially so would likely dump it on a proper hemi-cuda. Something I can enjoy and, possibly make money on.

You? I'd pay the taxes off the top and have the balance dumped into the Investment Trust my wife and I have set up for the next generation of our family...our kid and our nieces and nephews. The LAST thing we need is more freakin' land!

Wabi, don't bang your head on the wall because people cannot seem to comprehend "one thing". Reading comprehension is an extinct skill.

If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.

I’d buy a house on the lake or bayou with river access of my choosing and put the rest in a trust for the littles payable when they’ve completed college or trade school.

I would buy a piece of land that borders US Forest Service land and maybe a state school section or two. I have several places in mind. The Forest Service as adjoining neighbors? I've been neighbors with them for 50 years and it ain't fun, and it ain't easy. Every wide eyed kid with a sparkling new diploma has a new pet crusade. It might be mitigating mining tailings, it might be pine blister rust, it might be don't touch, it might be save the salmon, it might be bio- diversity, it might be fuels reduction, it might be invasive species, it might be roadbuilding, it might be de-commisioning roads, it might be whatever that kid's favorite professor said. All done on somebody else's money, so the kid really has no skin in the game. And believe you me Kenny, they have a ton of tools and rules in their bag to lean on adjacent landowners. Follow your dream brother, but talk to other landowners too.

I'd probably buy a mini-gun. Everyone wants to shoot one and you can charge out the butt to let guys do so.

You? First off- if you win a million bucks, you will pay back a big chunk in federal income taxes, and depending on where you live, state taxes as well. Then, your long-lost inlaws and friends will hit you up for cash for their dire financial needs, and you will feel obligated to help them out. Take what you will have left and buy a really tricked out new pickup truck, and its associated insurance and registration costs. $1m, all gone!
I'd rather be a free man in my grave, than living as a puppet or a slave....
