Is there a metal thread running in the braid of that line?

So, there is a metal thread running through there. I thought so. Just a different color wire than I use. Is the brown any better than the white, or just a different company?

Looks old.

Age probably turned it brownish.

Aha!

Maybe cow crap all over it? grin

I use mine to keep bears away from beehives and deer out of the garden.......they're not as messy as cattle.

Face palm!

Yup on the wire. It’s orange, just dusty.

Thanks! Doh.

I like that spool.

I've got an el cheapo Orange one for electrical cords I use for my fence wire. That nice metal one could be left to the heirs I don't have..

Man would I love to do that up here. I do remember the days up here when I was a boy you could still buy sticks of dynamite at the hardware store. They kept it in a cooler.

Does it have two insulated strands or is it just a single exposed wire braided with fiber?

Well, here I would probably have to clear any adoption through Gavin and his minions.

They might put the kybosh on it................

OR might take you back though. I'd suggest the East side. Maybe Juntura? Frenchglen? You get much north of Burns and I'll have to schedule more than a day for a visit.

Single bare wire woven in the braid
