Reminds me of a friends dog in high school, half basset half cocker, jet black, cocker hairdo, legs and ears like a basset.
We would sit on opposite sides of the yard and call him and he would run to us until he stepped on his ears and endo. We would repeat this for hours, until the weed ran out or we got hungry.
His sisters would cry...but it was TFF

This thing came out to greet me on a quiet country road an hour ago bout 3 miles from the house. Has all the features are of a large dog but with 6” legs.
