Event Cost is a suggested 75.00 for early sign up prior to 1 Aug and 100.00 for late sign up. (an unheard of bargain for a 250 bird match)
Tickets are transferable but not refundable

3pm - Friday Intro/Waivers/Gun Insp.
4pm - Field 1 & 2 Open for squading
6pm - Open kitchen. Fend for yourselves
7-10pm - Night Birds

9am - Saturday Intro/Waivers/Gun Insp.
10am - Shooting Begins
Box 1 = 16yd ATA Trap
Box 2 = 21yd Handicap Trap
Box 3 = Skeet
Box 4 = Turkey Shoot/Polish Duck Blind
Box 5 = Annie Oakley
Box 6-10 = Shooters Choice
12 Noon = Lunch
5pm - Shoot offs and awards
7pm - Club 60 in town

Got the trap and skeet but what is the game at boxes 4 and 5?

turkey shoot is where you shoot a card at 25yds. hole closest to center wins a box of prizes.
annie oakly is where all shooters line up facing trap house. its an elimination game. 2 misses and out . guy next to you bumps you if he hits your miss. last man standing, wins.

Here in Minnesota and Wisconsin, Turkey shoots (or meat shoots) are trap games put on at gun clubs. Each club may have a little different format, but usually there is some sort of qualifier for five to eight shooters and then a follow-the-leader shoot off. Prizes are generally packages of meat. Turkey, Ham, Bratwurst, Chops, etc. Interspersed will be Annie Oakley's for cash. They generally start at the 27 yard line and only 1 miss and you are out.

I have been having fun at these for a couple of years. Wish yours was closer as I know several people who would love to be there.

had a minn girl come twice a year to get away, camp and relax from work. she said apr was a summer vacation to her. lol.
i have a member here who comes from colo and one comes from wi.
my place isnt fancy. its down righ in the sticks complete with cows in fresh cut fields. its appeals to many. its low stress, a down home feel, its like visiitng neighbors more than a high stakes match. heck, some women make pies for prizes. my motto is if i dont know your name by the end of themeet, i failed as a man. my wife will keep you all laughing. we are safe, clean as can be, running water, firewood, run your dogs in the adjacent fields but watch for thickets. dont let them in the parking or shooting area w/o a leash and have a great time.

i made an exception to some concerning a refund last meet. it was only fair because i changed the shoot date due to moms illness. i didnt do it as a good business practice, i did it as i was lead by my heart.
but, id rather keep to my policy from now on. if for WHATEVER reason a shoot gets changed or canceled, NO REFUNDS.
its always been the policy in the past that my friends would always allow me to carry the tickets over to the next shoot, use the money for a trophy prize next meet, allow them to donate the ticket to local kids or hand it to a friend in their place or just say dont worry about it... knowing the costs of opening this range for a shoot. id like to KEEP that practice.
remember folks, im NOT a business. you are coming to my private home to shoot. and im driving 1500 miles to open it up for you.
asking for refunds is like coming to a pool party, agreeing to pitch in for food and entertainment, we order the band, food, and drinks and you dont show wanting us to give back your portion.

since rickbin wont stick this invite, it falls to page 5 within 6 hours, causing it to get lost in all the forum traffic. so, the numbers of people learning of the shoot will be low. if you know anyone interested, save this invite, cut copy it or just do a search for it to be updated on the shoot. thanks guys.
